(In 1958 St Laurent-lès-Mâcon was renamed Saint-Laurent-sur-Saône to distinguish it from Mâcon.) Révillon began writing for the Gazette de Paris, and then in 1881 for Le Radical, a political and literary daily founded in the same year which continued circulation until 1931. Révillon is buried in the Cimetière du Montparnasse, a bust of him prominently marking his grave.
