Seward Johnson in Key West, Florida

I first came across an example of the sculptor Seward Johnson's work last year in White Plains, New York State, which was First Case. This one is at the entrance to Casa Marina.

White Plains is a city in Westchester County in New York state and is most noted for an eighteenth century battle that took place nearby, although the thing that most impressed me while I was there today was the above sculpture of a young lawyer by Seward Johnson, who has many other public works around the world. He shows a great interest in depicting people in ordinary situations, many of them reading. The link below is to a page on Johnson's website showing a number of characters reading.
