Cimetière du Père-Lachaise (continued): #39: François Andrieux

The grave of the poet and playwright François Andrieux, who was born in Strasbourg in 1759 and died in Paris in 1833. His first success was the one-act Anaximandre of 1782, and although he went on to produce many more works his greatest and most lasting success was his second play Les Étourdis, ou la mort supposé (1787), which strongly impressed André Chenier.
