Guy Hocquenghem (1946—1988) was a writer and a soixante-huitard. He 'officially' came out in a letter in the Nouvel Observateur in 1972. His books — fiction and non-fiction (the latter mainly queer theory) — are concerned with homosexual matters, and his novel L'Amour en relief (probably his most well-known book) looks really interesting.
Hocquenghem died of AIDS at the age of 41.
