Oddly, I'd not seen this classic before, this early model of science fiction cinema directed by Georges Méliès. It's in part inspired by H. G. Wells, in part by Jules Verne, but also other people, and of course its influence on future films would be enormous. Chorus girls load the space gun to the rocket which lands on an eye of the man in the moon. There are some surreal elements.
