Jean Rollin's mother was Denise Lefroi, and as a young child he lived with her and Georges Bataille, until, after a brief ménage à trois with Bataille's new find Dianne Kotchoubey De Beauharnais, Bataille decided on just Dianne. Rollin (1938–2010) was a director and scenarist of films of vampirism and eroticism. The titles of his writings also clearly indicate the subject matter: Bestialité (1995), Enfer privé (1998), Monseigneur Rat (1998), La petite ogresse (2001), etc.
