Confinement changes perception, forces people to look more closely at things within a shorter distance from them as their movements are considerably limited. So a local park – in this instance Manor Park, Glossop – takes on a different light. Not only is watching the water very soothing, but it's interesting watching the wildlife watching the water or drinking from it. Here we have a grey heron looking for fish, and a grey wagtail – often confused with the yellow wagtail – finding food in a clump of vegetation.

That is a beautiful heron. It’s true bird and nature watching helps during this crisis. I was out of the house only once since March 15, to the pharmacy. But it is next to a park and was able to walk in there a bit with no one around – it was so uplifting (gave me enough pictures to write a post, too.)
While unpacking some books I brought back from Georgia I found 5 books by Patrick Modiano I have never read. Maintenant il faut que je regarde dans vos billets antérieurs pour voir si vous en avez parler. Ce sont : Un Cirque passe, Rue des Boutiques Obscures, Villa Triste, Pour que tu ne te perdes pas dans le quartier et Quartier Perdu. Je ne sais par lequel commencer. En ce moment je lis des livres sur la guerre (2eme) à cause du 75eme anniversaire de la libération.
