Kostas Axelos (1924–2010) was a philosopher, editor and French translator of Greek origin who taught at the Sorbonne. He published a number of books, mostly in French. Among other writers, he was influenced by Heroclitus, Plato, Hegel, Marx, Nietzsche, Heidegger, and also Rimbaud (Vers la pensée planétaire (1964)).
