Georges Goyau (1869–1939) was an essayist and historian, specialising in the history of religion. His first wife was Lucie, President Félix Faure's daughter, and was also a writer and a friend of Marcel Proust in her youth. Goyau is buried with his second wife Juliette (née Heuzey), who too was a writer and wrote a biography of her husband, Dieu premier servi: Georges Goyau : sa vie et son œuvre (1947).
