Paris 2015: Édouard Drumont, Cimetière du Père-Lachaise #8

'ÉDOUARD DRUMONT
HOMMES DE LETTRES
1844 – 1917'

This was another chance find, made when we were looking for the really difficult Jean-Dominique Bauby grave. Édouard Drumont wasn't a pleasant find though, as he was the founder of the antidreyfusard paper La Libre parole, and established the Ligue nationale antisémitique de France. Such writers as Maurras, Léon Daudet and Barrès took their inspiration from him, and he was known by some as a right-wing anarchist. Some of his writings are available online, although I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
