I've already made a post about the literary statues in parc Monceau, several images being the excellent one of the playwright Édouard Pailleron (1834–99). He married Marie Buloz, whose father François was the founder and director of the highly successful Revue des deux mondes. Pailleron specialised in comedies of manners, his first success being Le Monde où l'on s'amuse (1868), his last great success Le Monde où l'on s'ennuie (1881).
One of my photos of the Pailleron statue in parc Monceau.
