The murals  in the church of Saint-Pierre de Brancion with its commanding view, which date from the end of the thirteenth century, and have been restored several times between 1930 and 2015.

This beautiful creature attempted to hitch a lift as we were trying to find our bearings in Martailly-lès-Brancion, Saône-et-Loire, in sweltering heat. Luckily we spotted her: a delightful animal and obviously well-loved.
