Le Cimetière Sud de Saint-Mandé. Jules Moinaux (1815–95) was the son of a wood-working father and the father of the famous playwright Georges Courteline. He was noted for his humorous plays and comic-operas, the latter of which were sometimes produced in collaboration with Jacques Offenbach. Alexandre Dumas fils wrote the Preface to his satire on the police, Le Bureau du commissaire (1886).
