Alexandre Vialatte's published work is almost entirely posthumous, although interestingly a multi-authored novel, Le Roman des douze, was published in 1957, for which he wrote the second chapter. The other contributors were Jean Dutourd, Jules Romains, Pierre Bost, Jean-Louis Curtis, Louise de Vilmorin, Paul Vialar, André Beucler, André Berry, Yves Gandon, Michel de Saint Pierre, and Gilbert Sigaux.
